Postdoctoral Fellowship Selection Processes
There are currently no open calls for applications for postdoctoral fellowship positions.
Postdoctoral Internship (WITHOUT FELLOWSHIP) - Continuous Flow
Regulation: CPPGI/CEPE-UEMS Resolution No. 322, dated 09/26/2022, approved by CEPE-UEMS Resolution No. 2,544, dated 12/16/2022
1) Documents required for the request to the Board (at any time):
a) Application to the Program Board (see model below);
b) Copy of identity document or, in the case of foreigners, copy of passport with student visa (temporary);
c) Letter of acceptance signed by the supervising professor, affiliated with the Graduate Program;
d) Lattes CV of the supervising professor, demonstrating his/her recognized competence as a researcher in his/her field of activity;
e) Lattes CV of the applicant for the Postdoctoral Internship;
f) Copy of the registration of the research project of which the supervising professor is a part, registered and approved by the Research Division (DP)/Vice-Rectory of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation (PROPPI);
g) Copy of the applicant's Doctorate degree, or in its absence, a copy of the Course Completion Certificate, issued by an institution with a Postgraduate Program recognized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) or revalidated by a University in accordance with current regulations;
h) Work plan, considering for the Internship a minimum duration of 3 (three) and a maximum of 48 (forty-eight) months, which must contain:
- Research project and schedule of activities to be developed by the applicant (maximum 20 (twenty) pages);
- Teaching activities, if any;
i) Declaration of availability of working hours according to the requested modality:
- Full-Time modality: Declaration that full-time and exclusive dedication of 40 (forty) hours per week are available to the activities to be developed during the Post-Doctoral Internship;
- Partial modality: Declaration that you have 10 (ten) or 20 (twenty) hours per week available for the activities to be developed during the Post-Doctoral Internship.
j) If the candidate holds or acquires a scholarship from funding agencies or other financing institutions, he/she must follow the rules or clauses described in the signed scholarship agreement, provided that they are in accordance with the current institutional legislation;
k) Declaration of financial capacity, whether or not linked to the funding agency, to cover the expenses related to carrying out the research project;
l) If the internship project presented involves research with animals or human beings or uses genetic engineering techniques or technically modifiable organisms, the candidate must submit it for prior approval by the bodies responsible for research ethics.

2) After the request has been approved by the Board, the candidate must present the following documents:
- 01 (one) recent 3x4 photo;
- Original and copy of birth or marriage certificate;
- Original and copy of identity document (RG), or original and copy of passport with student visa (temporary), in the case of foreigners;
- Original and copy of Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF);
- Original and copy of Voter Registration Card;
- Updated certificate of electoral clearance (obtained in <http://www.tse.jus.br/eleitor/servicos/certidoes/certidao-de-quitacao-eleitoral>, or at the electoral offices);
- Original and copy of the Military Enlistment Certificate or Certificate of Completion of Military Service, for those over eighteen years of age, if male;
- Original and copy of the Undergraduate Diploma;
- Original and copy of the Doctorate Diploma, or in the absence thereof, a copy of the Doctorate thesis defense minutes;
- Original and copy of the Doctorate transcript.
