Lines
The PGRN is organized into three lines of research, and the participation of permanent faculty members is not restricted to just one of them. They are:
1 - Natural Environments
Evaluate environmental conditions (soil, water, atmosphere and biota), mainly regional biodiversity, through studies of the relationship with abiotic factors, such as pesticides, industrial waste, fires, among others.
2 - Natural Products
Research and identify natural sources and interpret how they can be used in pharmacology, the food industry, biodiesel industries, among others, without harming the environment.
3 - Materials and Methods Applied to Natural Resources
Develop analysis methodologies and advanced materials (biomaterials, ceramics, polymers, glass, among others) that can diagnose and monitor natural resources.
